Common grounds

I have read through most others personal computer stories for the class and noted that several had talked about school classes and games being their first experiences. I even noticed that some others mentioned Oregon Trail, who can forget their first buffalo hunt! And alas, "Jimmy Has Dysentery", poor Jimmy...

  2. In school, we just had a standard general studies guideline set forth by the state, so there was little focused studies back in high school when I graduated back in 1999. I started off getting an Associate's in Science degree from Allen County Community College (with a computer science emphasis), and took Cisco networking classes as well, though never got certified in it. I began at ESU majoring in computer science, then changed majors to computer information systems, and now am currently in the information resource studies program after yet another change in majors. I plan on definitely sticking to this major as it seems more like what I could see myself doing in the future for a job. I think I could see myself in a university library doing archiving or tech work, but am still open to other ideas for sure. As for what I'm doing with computers now, I'm not truly doing anything yet that is "in my field" but more so use them as a means of communication with friends and family as well as use them for classes in regards to Blackboard mainly but now blogging and wiki for our class.
